Some of my favorites are their solid color velvet pillow covers. They always have a good collection of solids. They don’t have a huge selection, but I tend to like a lot of the throw pillows they do carry. They carry fabric and ready-made pillows with great prices for the quality. This shop was like a little hidden gem until recently. Because she uses specific color palates, it’s easy to mix and match her pillows. I’ve been a huge fan of Caitlin Wilson for ages, and was thrilled when she launched her shop a couple years ago. She uses designer fabrics and the craftsmanship is stellar. I have used her pillows in my own home and for clients. Priscilla is the owner of Motif Pillows, and she is lovely to work with. Not all Etsy shops are created equal, let me tell you.

Huge variety of pillows in all styles and colors. If I had to pick just one shop to buy all my future throw pillow from, it would be Lulu & Georgia. I love updated my throw pillows frequently, so Target is a no-brainer. I tend to forget about World Market, but they have always have a nice little selection each season. You have to weed through a lot of chevron (a lot), but they have some great options for around $30.

BONUS? You can have most printed in “outdoor fabric” as well. $īecause Society 6 works with independent artists, you can find a huge range of unique and quirky printed pillow options. I’ve ranked them by price from budget-friendly to splurge-worthy. There are literally hundreds of online shops you could choose from, but here are my top 12 sources for great throw pillows. (Yes, culinary adjectives apply in this decorating scenario.) If you need to refresh a room but don’t have a lot to spend, throw pillows are like an instant facelift to any space.

There are few things that can bring as much instant joy to a room as a yummy throw pillow. (Though my husband Stu might say otherwise…) I think I’m doing better on scaling back from my “bigger is better and more is always more” approach to decorating that I was raised with. Which means your bed isn’t properly dressed unless it has a fantastic pad topper and at least 7 pillows. There’s a very fine line between throw pillow collector and throw pillow hoarder, and I’ve danced that line my entire life. And I do mean entire life.
